OVERVIEW - This is an ACHIEVE competition, meaning it is a competitive opportunity to support pupils to reach their athletic potential.   The competition will feature a group stage followed by knockout finals. Games will be 7-min halves with rolling subs throughout the games, which will refereed by DC Leaders

Rules of Association Football apply apart from the following variations:  

- Each school can bring a maximum of 10 players, with 7 players on the pitch at any time. Rolling substitutes are allowed. ONE GIRL must be on the pitch at all times.

- no offside  

- rolling substitutes during a stoppage of play.  

- All players should receive equal playing time where possible  

- goal kicks can be taken from anywhere within the penalty area 

 - all free-kicks are DIRECT 

 - all opposing players must be AT LEAST 5 yards from the ball at the taking of freekicks, corner kicks and kick-offs. 

 NUMBER OF STUDENTS - 10 students per school

Sports hall competitions are renowned for their ‘electric atmosphere’ teams are cheered on by team supporters while tackling exciting relay races and challenging field events. Each team consists of 15 boys and 15 girls.

Each child can take part in a maximum of 2 field events, 1 Race & 1 Relay. 

Please fill out team sheet prior to arriving at event.

Team Information - School teams should consist of 4 girls and 4 boys. All races are Mixed. They may compete in a maximum of two track and two field events, drawn from the following:

On the track - each race requiring one girl & one boy

1 + 1 Lap Relay

2 + 2 Lap Relay

Obstacle Relay

Each race requiring two girls & two boys

Over / Under Relay

 4 x 1 Lap Relay

and in the field - each event requiring 3 participants with at least one boy & one girl

Chest Push

Standing Long Jump 

Standing Triple Jump  (5 Strides year 3/4)

Y3/4 Gymnastics festival will see the pupils move around different equipment, whilst learning Gymnastics skills. This is a festival so schools are encouraged to bring pupils that do not attend Gymnastics clubs. Coaches from EVGC will be coaching the pupils with assistance from ESSP. One Booking per school & MAX 10 PUPILS PER SCHOOL.

District Sports Competition

A competitive athletic event where schools compete against each other in a number of athletic events and points are accumulated to give a total overall score for each school.

Schools to select teams.

The events are:- 

Y3 Girls and boys 40m sprint, 40m skipping, 40m hurdles, 40m relay and Nerf Javelin.

Y4 Girls and boys 50m sprint, 50m skipping, 50m hurdles, 50m relay and Nerf Javelin.

Y5 Girls and boys 60m sprint, 300m run, 60m hurdles, 60m relay and Nerf Javelin.

Y6 Girls and Boys 70m sprint, 300m run, 70m hurdles, 70m relay and Nerf Javelin.

This is an achieve competition for students to represent their school in a competitive environment.

This year we have launched the new British Gymnastics Format RISE. Rise Gymnastics has been designed to give every gymnast the opportunity to shine. Rise uses a positive scoring system where gymnasts are awarded points, instead of receiving deductions. The competition format puts children’s experience at the heart of the competition.

Full routine details will be sent out to schools Sept/Oct for the pupils. The 3 activities will - Floor, Vault and Hoop.
