Sports hall competitions are renowned for their ‘electric atmosphere’ teams are cheered on by team supporters while tackling exciting relay races and challenging field events. Each team consists of 15 boys and 15 girls.
Each child can take part in a maximum of 2 field events, 1 Race & 1 Relay.

Team Information - School teams should consist of 4 girls and 4 boys. All races are Mixed. They may compete in a maximum of two track and two field events, drawn from the following:
On the track - each race requiring one girl & one boy
1 + 1 Lap Relay
2 + 2 Lap Relay
Obstacle Relay
Each race requiring two girls & two boys
Over / Under Relay
4 x 1 Lap Relay
and in the field - each event requiring 3 participants with at least one boy & one girl

This event is a PLUS event and will feature a range of sports hall athletics events in a festival format, with students getting to try field events such as chest push & long jump. As well as different types of running races. ONE booking per school

This is a PLUS event, specifically targeted at providing students with Special educational needs the opportunity to represent their school. The festival will feature a range of Games, including New Age Kurling, Boccia, and other target games.
This will be a festival for Ks1 pupils to practise hand/eye coordination, whilst having fun playing different activities. They will be helped by the sports leaders from Derby College and ESSP staff at the event, plus the teachers who bring them to the festival.

This is an ACHIEVE event for higher ability students who are able to excel in P.E. We are expecting children who have a good understanding of the rules and can play the game of Dodgeball.
Each team is made up of 8-10 Y5&6 mixed gender students. The format is 6-a-side with rolling subs. Group stages followed by knockouts.
Schools can bring a maximum of 1 team and one booking per school.
Ks1 Games Festival at Derby College, in which the Ks1 children will try out different games such as Boccia Bean Bag, Throwing games etc. They will work on the main FUNDAMENTALS they need to improve on sports and movements. One Booking per school and max 30 pupils.
Year Group: 5/6 Mixed Gender
Number of Students: Squad of 9, 5 players on the court at one time. (Mixed Gender teams allowed. Max 3 boys per squad, max 2 boys on court at any time)
Bee Netball, which enables children to participate in netball, make friends and develop other key skills, such as friendship, inclusion, fair play and playing together, has been designed to combat these issues.

This is an event to celebrate the hard work that the MINI LEADERS in school have done all year. They must have been involved in schools from Sept-April and ran at least one session per week.
Schools can bring 15 mini leaders max and one booking per school.
At the event the children will visit that animals at DC and also take part in some fun activities.
